Matthew Ross
(Dan Powers)
Matthew Ross plays Dan, who finds himself on the same professional and social tracks as Alice and Charlotte.

Ross trained at and attended New York’s Julliard School, performing in numerous stage productions there. Other stage work for the actor includes TWELVE DREAMS for Lincoln Center Theater. Ross’ film credits include starring, in the title role, in John Walsh’s ED’S NEXT MOVE. On-screen, he has also been seen in HOMEGROWN, FACE/OFF and 12 MONKEYS. He will soon be seen in Mike Newell’s PUSHING TIN. His telefilm credits include TNT’s BUFFALO SOLDIERS and ABC’s LOVE KILLS.


Burr Steers (Van)
Burr Steers plays Van, the Club’s suavely implacable gatekeeper. His film credits include PULP FICTION and NAKED IN NEW YORK. Steers is the founder of the Los Angeles theater company The Evidence Room, and his stage credits include Richard Zelnicker’s FIX. A nephew of the writer Gore Videl, he grew up in Washington D.C.


David Thornton (Bernie Rafferty)
Thornton portrays Bernie, the Club’s shady owner and operator (in more ways than one). His extensive film credits include MEN OF RESPECT, MRS. PARKER AND THE VICIOUS CIRCLE, SEARCH AND DESTROY, IF LUCY FELL, and, for director Nick Cassavetes, UNHOOK THE STARS (with Gena Rowlands and Marisa Tomei) and SHE’S SO LOVELY (opposite Sean Penn). Thornton was most recently seen on-screen in OFFICE KILLER, HOME ALONE 3, THE REAL BLONDE and HUSH. He is married to singer Cyndi Lauper; they have one child.


Jaid Barrymore (Francesca, “Tiger Lady”)
Barrymore appears as Tiger Lady, a sexy, exotic regular at the Club.

Barrymore recently celebrated her second year in the Off-Broadway hit GRANDMA SYLVIA’S FUNERAL. The subject of a much-publicized 1995 Playboy pictorial, Barrymore has authored a book, Secrets of World-Class Lovers, about relationships, sexuality and communication between the sexes. She hosts two America Online chat shows @ “Jaid Barrymore Uncensored” and “Jaid Barrymore’s Foreplay Cafe,” and can be heard on NYC radio dispensing one-on-one advice. She is the mother of actress Drew Barrymore.


Michael Weatherly (Hap)
Weatherly portrays Hap, a client of Jimmy’s who is especially eager to get into the Club. Weatherly’s previous film credits include DEADLINE and MEET WALLY SPARKS. On television, he was a series regular on Fox’s SIGNIFICANT OTHERS. Other television credits include NBC’s miniseries ASTEROID; and appearances on ABC’s LOVING (aka THE CITY) and NBC’S THE COSBY SHOW.


Robert Sean Leonard (Tom Platt)
Leonard plays Tom, a lawyer who turns Alice’s head at The Club.

Leonard has performed extensively on stage, on film, and on television. Tony-nominated for his Broadway work in CANDIDA (opposite Joanne Woodward), his other Broadway productions include ARCADIA, THE SPEED OF DARKNESS, PHILADELPHIA, HERE I COME!, BREAKING THE CODE, BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS. Additionally, he starred in THE GLASS MENAGERIE at Center Stage in Baltimore; and has several Off-Broadway credits, including BELOW THE BELT and THE PRINCIPALITY OF SORROWS.

In film, Leonard’s first major role was in Peter Weir’s DEAD POET’S SOCIETY opposite Robin Williams. His subsequent films include MR. AND MRS. BRIDGE, SWING KIDS, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING (starring opposite THE LAST DAYS OF DISCO costar Kate Beckinsale), THE AGE OF INNOCENCE, SAFE PASSAGE and KILLER: A JOURNAL OF A MURDER.

For television, his projects have included John Erman’s THE BOYS NEXT DOOR, for CBS, with Nathan Lane and Mare Winningham; and Christopher Reeve’s IN THE GLOAMING for HBO, opposite Glenn Close.


Jennifer Beals (Nina Moritz)
Beals makes a cameo appearance as Nina, a woman spurned by Des. Beals earned a Golden Globe nomination for her film debut in Adrian Lyne’s blockbuster hit FLASHDANCE. After finishing the film, the Chicago native began studying American Literature at Yale. She graduated, with honors, in 1987.

Her film credits include THE BRIDE, VAMPIRE’S KISS, IN THE SOUP, MRS. PARKER AND THE VICIOUS CIRCLE, DEVIL IN A BLUE DRESS, FOUR ROOMS, TWILIGHT OF THE GOLDS (a theatrical release from Showtime and Hallmark Entertainment), and THE PROPHECY 2 opposite Christopher Walken.

Beals has signed an exclusive deal with ABC-TV for future projects. Recently, she made appearances on the ABC series NOTHING SACRED. She will next star in Showtime’s telefilm THE AMANDA AMERICA DICKSON STORY with Sam Waterston.
